Hi everyone! The big show is coming up fast, and we have a little announcement to make. It's our pleasure to announce our guest artist for That Show with Those Guys... meet Victoria Turko!
About Victoria:
Victoria Turko is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter, who has been singing for as long as she can remember. She recalls performing in front of an audience for the very first time at the age of 5, and has been singing ever since.
At age 13, Victoria expanded her horizons from school talent shows and small choirs, to perusing musical theatre. She was a part of the Musical Theatre Company at MTYP and took part in many musical theatre productions around Winnipeg. Shortly after, she took it upon herself to learn how to play the guitar. After learning to play the guitar, she found herself writing more and more. Her parents picked up on her love for performance and signed her up for music lessons, where she studied with vocal coach Heidi Korte. There, she trained vocally and learned to play the piano.
Victoria has enjoyed performing at various venues and events such as Manyfest, Royal Pizza, and Moksha Yoga’s live music classes. Victoria is currently looking forward to performing in this year's Pride Festival, and taking part in the Young Performer’s Program at the Winnipeg Folk Festival.
Victoria is currently working on the creation of her first album and has plans on releasing it within the next year. Victoria is very thankful for this opportunity and is looking forward to opening for Those Guys.
